Exchanging Step 2 CS Appointments

I was trying to find a suitable appointment for my Step 2 CS exam. Exchange was also an option because my friend had a suitable date but didn't have a visa yet. I was thinking how to safely exchange the date when I saw a link on Step 2 CS calender and Scheduling website about exchanging exam dates.

I was surprised and excited and thought they might have some official system to exchange appointments, but to my utter disappointment, it was only a warning against date exchange.

Anyways I tried exchange 3 times, 2 were successful

Here is the method.

You must have two computers with a really fast internet connection.

Preferably do it at the time when least number of people are on date hunt mission, like early hours of morning.

Ask your friend to sign in with one account and sign in yourself with other on the second computer.

Get in touch with your friend, if you are not at same place. Preferably on phone

Open the Step 2 CS calender for that particular center

Select the month next or previous to the desired month. Changing month refreshes the calender quickly that refreshing the whole page.

Ask your friend to cancel his appointment of get a new one and confirm it.

Just after he clicks confirm and gets a confirmation notice, change the month page on your calender to desired month.

You will see the date come alive on the calender, click and confirm it ASAP.

If you don't see the date becoming available, refresh the calender by changing month once again.
