Suicide Contract

After counseling every suicidal patient should be asked to make a suicide contract.
In suicide contract the patient promises the physician that he will inform and contact the physician before taking any suicidal step.

So you can tell the patient;

I would also like you to promise me that you will call or contact me immediately whenever you have any idea of ending your life
