Introduction

USMLE Step 2 CS is a unique but a somewhat weird of all USMLE exams. I call it weird because its preparation is totally different from all other exams. It not about your knowledge but your skills.

Its the most expensive of all USMLE exams with fewest exam centers. The most notorious thing about it is that its really hard to get appointment of your choice. Most of the times the appointments for the next six months are already booked. That's specially bad for IMGs because they have to deal with visa issues, international traveling, planning their stay in USA, do all the travel arrangements etc. and prepare for the exam at the same time. And obviously its difficult to do all this planning 6 months earlier. I don't know why USMLE people are not doing anything to deal with it

Its also a strange exam because you are actually dependent of some other person, preferably a Step 2 CS veteran to help you in the preparation

But the good thing is most of the students pass in their first attempt and there is no score grading in percentile. Its only pass or fail.
